Methods
We keep things simple with a focus on quality. We use saprotrophic mushrooms grown in bags of sterilized saw dust. From there, we freeze dry the fruiting bodies before we take them through our dual extraction process. The extraction is then further reduced through vacuum distillation. Our goal is to bring you the most potent medicinal mushroom tinctures on the market.

Grown From Culture
The process begins by growing out a chosen mushroom culture on an agar filled petri dish. The culture, now known as mycelium, is transferred to grain. The grain is then transferred to a larger volume of grain to create grain spawn. The spawn is added to sawdust substrate and grown out. Once the mycelium takes over, mushrooms begin to fruit.
Freeze Dried
This is an important step that separates us from the rest. We take freshly fruited mushroom bodies and process them in the freeze drier. This locks in their nutritional and medicinal properties, ensuring an end product that is fresh and potent.

Dual Extracted
We use a soxhlet extractor to recirculate water and alcohol through the mushrooms over a 24-hour period of time. By combining both extraction methods, dual extraction offers a more complete and balanced representation of the mushroom’s medicinal profile.
Reduced
Our final step to making potent extracts is to reduce the volume of the liquid through vacuum distillation. For this last process, we use a rotary evaporator. This removes the excess alcohol and water and creates a concentrate.
